Storefront and building signs
Channel letters, lightboxes and blade signs that put your name on the street.
The sign above your door does more selling than anything else you own. It works every hour of the day, it is the first thing a new customer sees, and it is how existing customers describe where you are. Getting it right is worth the effort.
We start with a photo and measurements of your building, then design the sign to scale on that photo so you can see exactly how it will sit on the fascia before anything is made. From there we fabricate it, deliver it and mount it.
Most storefronts suit one of three approaches: individual channel letters, a lightbox cabinet, or flat dimensional letters lit from elsewhere. We will recommend one based on your building, your landlord's rules, your budget and how far away people need to read it from.

What we make
- Front-lit channel letters, where each letter is its own light
- Halo-lit (reverse) channel letters that glow against the wall
- Lightbox cabinets with printed or routed faces
- Blade and projecting signs for sidewalk traffic
- Non-illuminated dimensional letters in metal, acrylic or PVC
- Awning and canopy graphics
Who it suits
- Retail stores and restaurants opening a new location
- Businesses rebranding or changing their name
- Tenants in plazas with landlord sign criteria
- Offices and clinics that need to be found from the road
What to know before you order
Most cities require a permit for exterior signs, and most landlords have written sign criteria that limit size, colour and lighting type. We check both before we design so you are not shown something you are not allowed to build.
Illuminated signs need power at the sign location. If there is no existing electrical feed behind the fascia, plan for an electrician as part of the project.
Letter height decides how far away a sign can be read. A common rule of thumb is one inch of letter height for every ten feet of viewing distance. Tell us where your customers are coming from (a sidewalk, a parking lot, a main road) and we will size the letters for that distance.
Keep it simple. A passer-by gives a sign about three seconds, which is enough for a name and perhaps one line about what you do. The strongest storefronts say less, larger.
How it works
From first call to finished sign
Brief
Tell us about the space, the deadline and the budget. We ask questions, look at photos or visit the site, and send an itemized quote.
Design
Logo work if you need it, then a proof that shows the sign to scale on your actual building, with sizes, colours and materials called out.
Build
Once you approve the proof, we print, cut and fabricate. Nothing is produced before approval, so there are no surprises.
Install
Our crew mounts the sign at a time that suits your business, cleans up and walks you through the finished job.
